In a unique humanitarian initiative to stand beside the people of remote rural areas, the Shamsherganj Police Station organized a free health check-up camp on 19/10/2025 at the premises of Alinskarpur High School in Shamsherganj. The camp was arranged by the police administration of the station with the aim of increasing health awareness among rural residents and extending medical services to them.

The program was graced by the presence of the Superintendent of Police, Jangipur Police District, Shri Amit Kumar Shaw, IPS, Additional Superintendent of Police (Zonal) Shri Soumyajit Barua, Farakka SDPO Sheikh Samsuddin, along with officials from the Health Department and several medical practitioners.

Specialists from various fields - including orthopedics, medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, and pediatrics - provided free medical consultations and treatment to over 700 patients. Additionally, patients were provided with free medicines and necessary diagnostic facilities.
