This age-old saying may apply not only to good deeds but perhaps also to the world of crime - and a reflection of that was seen in a special raid conducted by the Raghunathganj PS.

Based on a tip-off from a confidential source, on 19th October 2025, a special police team from Raghunathganj PS conducted a raid in the Farakka More area and detained a woman named Sadhana Halder, aged approximately 65 years, a resident of the Lalgola Police Station area.

Upon searching the bag in her possession, the police recovered five sophisticated 7mm pistols, 24 rounds of ammunition, 10 magazines, and a Lava mobile handset that was being used for communication.

During interrogation, it was revealed that these illegal firearms were being transported for smuggling purposes in exchange for a large sum of money. However, it is certain that the elderly woman was not acting alone in this operation. A further investigation and manhunt are underway to trace and arrest the masterminds behind the racket.
