Community-Oriented “PRASHIKSHAN” Initiative by Sagardighi PS.

On 12.01.2026, on the occasion of National Youth Day, a free Karate training camp was inaugurated under the “PRASHIKSHAN” Community Development Programme, initiated by Sagardighi PS.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Amit Kumar Shaw, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Jangipur PD, along with other senior police officers. A large number of students participated in the programme.

The six-month-long training aims to enhance physical fitness, self-confidence, discipline, and self-defence skills, especially among girls.

Simultaneously, keeping in view the significance of National Youth Day, a free computer training programme has also been launched for students of the area, with many learners participating actively. Through this initiative, students are being equipped with basic computer knowledge and digital skills to prepare them for the future.

Jangipur PD remains firmly committed to the overall development of society, women empowerment, and making the youth self-reliant.
