On 5th June, 2026 on the occasion of World Environment Day, Jangipur Police District organized and conducted an Environment Awareness and Tree Plantation Programme across the entire district with great dignity and enthusiasm.

The programme was formally inaugurated by the Hon'ble Superintendent of Police, Shri Surinder Singh, IPS, who planted a sapling as the chief initiator of this campaign. The event was attended by the Hon'ble Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), Shri Mohammad Nasim, WBPS, along with other police officers and officials of Jangipur Police District.
